Tonight's event is the first in the series Science & Cocktails and consists of a presentation by the mixologist Lars Lyndgaard Schmidt and a lecture by the theoretical physicist Holger Bech Nielsen.

Lars Lyndgaard Schmidt will lead the audience into the cocktails' universe with a report on the father of the cocktail, "Professor" Jerry Thomas.

Next, Holger Bech Nielsen will talk about the giant particle accelerator Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, the European organization for nuclear research.

The purpose of the LHC is to try to find the so-called Higgs particle, but the project has repeatedly run into major problems. Bech Nielsen, along with a Japanese colleague made a radical theory about the cause, which includes assistance from the future.

The event is conducted in English and after the lecture, DJ Henrique de Souza will reverse the old jazz records and people can get the opportunity to ask clarifying questions to Holger Bech Nielsen and Lars Lyndgaard Schmidt.
